THE QUEER COUPLES CENTER IS HIRING: Intake Coordinator Position

The Queer Couples Center provides therapy and coaching for single and coupled LGBTQ identified folks supporting them in experiencing better connections with themselves and others.

The Intake Coordinator is the main contact for potential clients looking for therapy, counseling or coaching.  The Intake Coordinator performs a variety of duties both interpersonal and clerical in nature. This position requires skill in communication, planning, organizing and coordinating the assignment of clients to clinicians.

We ask that you are generally available to receive calls and provide 15 minute intakes 9am-6pm seven days a week from your cell phone and laptop.  Someone with a flexible schedule and availability to be responsive is necessary.

Essential Functions

  • Primary contact for receiving phone calls and emails from people seeking counseling, therapy and coaching.
  • Conducts intake interviews with potential clients via phone, log and track contact
  • Coordinates all referrals to appropriate clinician through an online scheduler.
  • Communicates with therapists occasionally and when necessary
  • Provide end-of-month accounting and pay-stubs (reporting, basic Excel skills, payments via different applications
  • Assorted marketing and promotion duties
  • Attends occasional meetings/consultations and Center events.

This position requires 2 hours of paid training to start

Calls are taken at Intake Coordinator’s own location, requires a quiet environment

Administrative (front desk, receptionist, office manager, etc.) and sales experience is desirable

Salary: $15/hr  2-4 hours per week with potential to increase.

Position 1: Contracted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

Position 2: Contracted Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (MFTI)

 

The Queer Couples Center is a dynamic therapy center in its 2nd year of operation. The Center focuses on offering sliding scale mental health services by queer MFTs and MFT Interns to the LGBTQIA communities of the Bay Area. Our specialty and focus is in couples therapy and relationship counseling.

Job Description

This position is a contracted position with the Center.  We will refer you clients and retain a percentage of fees to cover the Center's costs.  You would see clients at your own office.

Duties:

● Provide psychotherapy for individuals, couples and families

● Maintain a caseload of at least 4 clients

● Be available eekday evenings and ne eeken da for client sessions

● Maintain active registration as a LMFT or MFTi

● Comply with legal and ethical standards as set forth by the state of California

● Participate in individual or group consultation

● Maintain, update and share your schedule weekly with the center

● Participate in ongoing training and education and attend all center activities

Preferred:

● Enthusiasm for couples counseling and attachment focused modalities.

● Interested in video taping for learning purposes

● POC clinicians are encouraged to apply

Compensation:

● ayment shall be made monthly and will be based upon actual funds received from clients for Contractor’s services.

● Quarterly community meetings with training

● Marketing done for you, clients provided

● Connection to dynamic, skilled and community oriented colleagues
